Jean-Marie Perier was born in Neuilly in 1940.

In 1956 he became assistant to Daniel Filipacchi, then photographer Marie-Claire. He began working for Jazz magazine, Paris Match and Télé 7 Jours but must leave in 1960 to do his military service in Algeria.

From 1962 to 1974 he was the photographer Hi Buddies, alongside all the artists of the 60s.

He also works for advertising productions, including Levi's and L'Oréal. From 1975 he devoted himself entirely to the commercials in Los Angeles and New York. It runs over 600 for Canada Dry, Coca Cola, Ford, Nestlé, Bic, Camel, Ford ...

It also turns feature films for cinema, especially with Antoine and Sebastien Francois Perier in 1974 and dreamy Sale with Jacques Dutronc and Lea Massari in 1978.

He returned to France in 1990 and revives the photo, including IT.

There he can produce series including "The universe creators" that allows him to regain freedom and fantasy in staging that had made his mark in the sixties. All great artists pass before his camera: Saint-Laurent, Armani, Tom Ford, Christian Lacroix, Gaultier, Alaia ...
